Dr. Nick Lowe’s main ecommerce goals were to have their legacy website migrated to a new ecommerce solution. This new solution was to give more functionality for their web team to be more self sufficient, support internationalization and be easier to use for customers. They also prioritised the need for a loyalty programme, blog integration, as well as a responsive frontend.
To achieve this, we’ve based the site on the latest Magento Community Edition and chose a templated approach to keep development time and costs down. The template was tweaked and customised to give the site a fresh, new and clean look and feel. We integrated a simple but elegant blog solution, along with the Sweet Tooth loyalty scheme, as well as adding an Advanced CMS section. This enabled content to be categorised more easily and also illustrated static content to the customer in a more user friendly and responsive way. As and addition we have implemented a warehouse integration with automatic a order export and tracking import.
The new Dr. Nick Lowe store is a great example of what can be done with a simple template. It is great responsive website which has doubled sales, due to the wealth of features and fucntioanlisty such as the Sweet Tooth loyalty programme, the mobile support, cleaner and fresher look, and the nicely structured content which has improved SEO.
